For every product ordered on KRR, thorough study is made with respect to manufacturing sequences, assembly of parts considering the size of sub-assembly for transport, taking into consideration restrictions on road for over-dimensional items.
By this way, unnecessary hold-up enroute and last minute emergency trimming can be eliminated.
For this purpose, 3D drawings of the product is made splitting into sub-assemblies. One such example made for Hot Metal Mixer to our customer M/s.JSW Steels Ltd is demonstrated here. Hot Metal Mixer is huge size (7600 mm dia.x 4000 long x 40 thick) heavy weight (1300 Tonnes) rotating equipment with several odd size parts. Sub-assemblies were pre-determined, including the location Site-assembly-cleats. Apart from ease of transport, it helped perfect assembly at site, ensuring quality and adhere to the project schedule. Sometimes, even scaled down models are made for making everyone involved understand.
